The Hooley Brewing up!

The Hooley Brewing up!

Our ‘West Pier’ what’s left of it hanging on in , before todays Storm batters our coast again. The Brighton pier formally ‘Palace Pier’ in the background.
This shot was taken this morning, lying flat on the beach with the dog and his lead wrapped around my leg with my Sony DSC-H20 from a mile or so away in Hove ‘Actually’.
Lucky shot, because the other shots were blurred due to high winds moving me about.

Coned out of his head!

Coned out of his head!

This isn’t the best photo in the world of Cone Head, but I snapped it on the hurry. Should it stay or should it go, the cone that is! This statue and cone is a popular subject at the moment. Being a grumpy old git, well not that old, this always makes me smile when I see it. It is a constant battle between the authorities and Joe public. It gets my VOTE to stay, it needs to stay. Its a Glasgow thing…. and that’s coming from a Southerner

Construction Worker

Construction Worker

While I was taking a break today, I watched this spider build his web. One of natures finest Engineers and Construction workers. No Helmet, high viz jacket, safety boots or health and safety rules. Oh yes and no tea break…..

Life in a glazed brick wall

England, Worthing seafront property.

Three floors up.  Victorian white glazed brick wall ( with grime ).  Airbourne seeds or maybe bird droppings with seeds, wedged into the mortar courses, the right conditions and a Fern of sorts is produced, growing happily between courses.

We are the Mod’s

Brighton.  Famous for being a seaside resort, two pier’s, the Graham Greene novel “Brighton Rock”, Fish & chip’s, sticks of rock.  Mods and Rocker’s (Quadrophenia) and much more!

View of The Brighton Pier, formerly ” The Palace Pier”, through the bikes…

Waiting to get into Brightona, the Motor Bike and Scooter Rally.

Vintage Lambretta’s and Vespa’s together looking fine…

More lights and chrome…

Hope you enjoyed the Scooter’s, “I love them”.  These vintage models make my modern Scooter look like a toy.  My neighbour in the 60’s when I was a small lad, had a Lambretta and he used to take me up and down the road on the back.  No helmets then!

Next time, I will throw a few Motor Bikes into the mix…
