Meet the new kid on the block

Got in Last Saturday evening, after watching Brighton vs Birmingham at the Amex.  Just started doing a bit of cooking, when I spotted the new kid on the block.  It is said that there is a decline in the population of Sparrows, we appear to have a pretty good local population, well in our local gardens anyway.  Didn’t take this little one to long to locate the feeder and water station.

Parent, with youngster…

Needing a drink…

First of many.  Nice little chap…

I like heavy plant, this was begging to be snapped…

Chalked wall

A few years back this Artwork was about all over Brighton & Hove.  Then it stopped.  The Artist may have moved on, who knows.  The example shown here looks unfinished, as the others I have seen in the past were more detailed.  The Artwork was drawn only in chalk, I think the Artist wanted to put his message across without the lasting effects of damaging property, it has a sort of Thai Asian feel about it, “could be wrong”.   This could be the only example left in the town!

Our Daily Bread

There is so much that we don’t see immeadiately, or ever, for that matter.  Hand painted signs in this instance.  This Art has been handed over to companies that make signs using computor, photographic images and plenty of plastic.  Picture taken in Stoneham Road, Hove, East Sussex, England.

The hand painted signs above, almost lost to time now…

In a few short weeks now, this sign, between the two buildings, will be out of sight and mind when the trees foliage takes over until next fall…

We are the Mod’s

Brighton.  Famous for being a seaside resort, two pier’s, the Graham Greene novel “Brighton Rock”, Fish & chip’s, sticks of rock.  Mods and Rocker’s (Quadrophenia) and much more!

View of The Brighton Pier, formerly ” The Palace Pier”, through the bikes…

Waiting to get into Brightona, the Motor Bike and Scooter Rally.

Vintage Lambretta’s and Vespa’s together looking fine…

More lights and chrome…

Hope you enjoyed the Scooter’s, “I love them”.  These vintage models make my modern Scooter look like a toy.  My neighbour in the 60’s when I was a small lad, had a Lambretta and he used to take me up and down the road on the back.  No helmets then!

Next time, I will throw a few Motor Bikes into the mix…
